![]() The 3D Water Matrix received the CODAawards Winner 2015 in the category "institutional". The artworks are performed in a row as a loop. Thanks to this robotic machine, Christian Partos becomes a water sculptor while Shiro Takatani and Ulf Langheinrich are filmmakers, who creates animations using water drops defying gravity. A third piece, GHOST, designed by Ulf Langheinrich, whose first version was presented during the exhibition Body Media II at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai in 2017, completes the repertoire of the matrix and will be finalized in 2018. The first creations, ST\LL by Shiro Takatani and The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Christian Partos premiered at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie in Paris in 2014/2015. The artworks are the sequences and programmes created by artists for this robot. The Matrix itself is not the work of art it is rather the medium or the interface for the making of liquid creations. The result is a "liquid" video display where drops replace pixels, with a very low resolution (30 by 30 pixels/drops) but one to which gravity imparts a "real" third dimension. 0:00 / 8:45 Computational Chemistry 1.10 - Z-Matrix Format TMP Chem 60.1K subscribers Subscribe 218 21K views 6 years ago Computational Chemistry Short lecture on the z-matrix format for. Of much more modest proportions than a collider, the 3D Water Matrix is composed of 900 electrovalves, each computer-controlled, which form a square grid of 30 streams of water on each side. To name just one: it wasn’t until the Large Hadron Collider was built that proof was found in 2013 of the existence of the Higgs boson that scientists had been seeking since 1964. The history of the arts and sciences is replete with examples of concepts that come several years, not to say centuries, before the invention of the means to demonstrate them or give them concrete form. Unfortunately, the necessary technology did not yet exist. One of these projects was a writer fountain robot that delivered its messages by dropping a stream of liquid letters. The idea for the 3D Water Matrix came in 2001 when Shiro Takatani, one of the founders and artistic director of the Japanese collective Dumb Type, visited Lille to work on the preparation of several projects for the European Capital of Culture that was to take place three years later. For the most tasks, where z-matrices are the superior input, I recommend building it by hand. The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Christian Partos (SE) Whether or not this z-matrix does actually fits the purpose you are needing it for, is a different question. The following file is produced (it is a valid Gaussian input file): # HF/6-31G* Test The complete command is: newzmat -ixyz -ozmat -round -rebuildzmat ![]() ![]() If you allow rounding ( -round) it will work. Input z-matrix variables are not compatible with final structure. Matrix may be placed in any kind of filter, and is particularly effective in a canister filter. This will likely fail on your input with an error: Use 250 mL of Matrix for each 200 L (50 US gallons) of water. The most-used Z-matrix format uses the following syntax: Element-label, atom 1, bond-length, atom 2, bond-angle, atom 3, dihedral-angle format-code Although these examples use commas to separate items within a line, any valid separator may be used. Therefore you also need to tell Gaussian to rebuild it ( -rebuildzmat). Water potential quantifies the tendency of water to move from one area to another due to osmosis, gravity, mechanical pressure and matrix effects such as. Each line of a Z-matrix gives the internal coordinates for one of the atoms within the molecule. In Gaussian terms, a block of cartesian coordinates is also a z-matrix. ![]() This means the first line denotes the number of atoms, the second line denotes a comment, and both need to be skipped. The format you have posted is actually (simple) xmol. ![]() According to the manual of the newzmat utility of Gaussian 16, it accepts unadorned Cartesian coordinates ( G16 online manual). ![]()
